Simple Beginnings
Jeane Hendrix, RN
As a Registered Nurse and Whole Health Coach, I have observed that most people are unhappy with some aspect of their health and it distracts or prevents them from fully focusing on their major life goals. It happens to me too!
Dealing With Changes
Last year, I began experiencing weight gain for the first time in my life. Even though I was eating cleaner and exercising more than I ever had, my weight began to gradually creep up. So I began a 21-day cleanse in an attempt to reset my metabolism and balance my hormones. The results were weight loss (pounds and inches), improved sleep, glowing skin, significant improvement in energy, and several new habits that stuck with me long after the detox was done.
The Simple Health Detox
My experience was so positive – and evidently noticeable – that my three adult children decided to join me in my next detox to try it out for themselves. This time it was a 30-day detox: I gave them a brief overview, a list of supplies they would need, and checked in with them every 2-3 days on what to do next. Although each participated for different reasons, all three were enthusiastic about their results. When our friends and acquaintances continued to ask us how to do the detox, we decided to create a simple plan that others could follow…and the Simple Health Detox was born.
Detoxification Supplements
As a wellness advocate for over 30 years, I have tried dozens of detoxes for a variety of reasons and I can tell you that they are not all created equal! Neither are the shakes or supplements used. This is why we are proud to partner with the labs at Thorne Research – internationally renowned for their exacting quality, purity of ingredients, and lab conditions – to bring you the delicious shakes and gentle supplements that are part of the Simple Health Detox. These supplements and shakes are only available through healthcare providers and are far superior to something you can just pick up in a health food store.
Evidence-Based Research
When trying to help out our body with something like a detox, I think it wise to use a system that mimics the natural system our body uses to make corrections. It should be slow and gentle. It should be long enough to rest your system and nourishing enough to rebuild it. As an RN, I appreciate evidence-based research, products, and programs and am a natural skeptic for one size fits all cures, but I do believe that there are certain behaviors which could benefit almost everyone who uses them.
Slow, Gentle, Effective
Gently eliminating toxins while letting your body rest, recover, and rebuild is beneficial even if you intend to go right back to your previous eating and lifestyle habits. However, if you are looking for an even more impactful change – one that will allow you to gain a new awareness of your body and what it needs to function at peak performance, as well as the ability to create new habits that will keep you feeling great – then a 30-day detox is a great vehicle to take you there!
